STOP PRESS: January 5th 2010. Avignon's cute little airport, sadly abandoned by Air France 18 months ago, is expanding this year...excellent news for visitors to our area from the UK. Flybe that already runs a service from Exeter and Southampton is adding two new routes from Birmingham and Manchester, whilst Jet2 which already serves Leeds Bradford is adding Edinburgh. As rhe airport at Avignon is only 50 minutes from us this is tremendous news. UK travellers can now choose between Eurostar via Lille or Paris to Avignon TGV, the flights above to Avignon, or flights further afield to Marseille or Nimes airports (c.90 mins travel time)
